I have had sushi a few times (only rolls/never nigiri) and never liked it (like I could never get past one bite) but always wanted to so badly. I believe it’s because I’m a picky girl with quality…however, this is the first place to please me with sushi. I got the nigiri flight, wakame salad, and miso soup. All three were fantastic. I was genuinely surprised at how much I liked everything. I shared with my boyfriend, who is the pickiest person ever, and he was shocked at how much he liked it as well. The miso soup is a must, and everything that came in the nigiri flight was excellent (for me especially the tuna). Service here is amazing too. Whoever answered the phone was very patient, kind, and full of great vibes. My boyfriend said the service was super pleasant picking it up too. I recommend this to anyone, even people who think they don’t like sushi…you probably just should try this place!!! Thank you chef😄

Absolutely loved this place. The food was incredibly clean and tasted so fresh. You can really tell the quality of the ingredients, especially the fish it tasted fresh and new with no heaviness at all. The rice was light and perfectly made .Everything felt well balanced and thoughtfully prepared. Such a great hidden gem, I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others 🤍

Excellent Nigiri and Sushi Rolls. Quality is good or actually better than places I've been in Chicago, NY, Atlanta. True hole in the wall. Located inside the culinary campus west of TC makes it a different place to visit. Very knowledgeable staff! A++

Today was my first time coming here and it was absolutely the BEST! Sushi was so fresh and tasty, quick service, and the employees (plus owner was there) were all super friendly, kind, and explained everything we asked. We sat at the bar so we could watch them make stuff and they answered our questions about what was being served even when it wasn't our food. I love sushi and I can definitely say this is the best quality I've had in town. Far surpasses everyone else. Give them a try! Plus sooo many gluten free options which a lot of other places are not great about! Great job! 👏💯🍣🤤❤️

We discovered this gem outside of Traverse city while in the area on vacation. The short drive is definitely worth it for the food. The building is a repurposed elementary school which is cool. Brent and his team are friendly and made for an enjoyable dinner.
